A digital partnership provides five-star service
MidexPRO, which provides practice management software to private clinicians, says its partnership with CloudRx has enabled a complete digital transformation for its clients, benefitting thousands of patients across the UK.
The relationship, which sees CloudRx’s digital prescribing platform integrated into MidexPRO’s practice management software, means private doctors using MidexPRO to manage their practice can order prescriptions online to be delivered directly to their patients’ homes.
Caroline Corrigan, operations director at MidexPRO, said: “CloudRx has enabled us to provide something for our customers that we couldn’t have done ourselves. “With the introduction of a digital prescription service we are able to provide a complete end-to-end digital product, from the management of appointments and patients, to the issuing and distribution of prescriptions.”
MidexPRO has been servicing the private medical community since 1997 and has recently moved to an entirely Cloud-based practice management system. While the relationship with CloudRx supported a rapid digital transformation in the wake of COVID-19, Caroline said it has long been an ambition of MidexPRO to provide an elevated service to clients and patients through online prescriptions.
Caroline added: “With the COVID-19 restrictions CloudRx has come into its own, providing much more convenience and keeping patients safe in their homes. But for us as a provider it’s always been about delivering something for our clients that will benefit them and their patients at all times. A consultant may have six or seven practices with hundreds of patients, so when you consider the administration involved it’s huge. This is taking some of the responsibility away. We needed a system we could rely on, that worked smartly with our own, and this was it. It’s a simple process, it’s easy to use, and it’s fast."
Caroline added that the benefits extend to the patient without adding administration for the doctor. She said: “Most private patients expect a five-star service. Today online shopping is the norm, with next day delivery expected - electronic prescriptions are really no different to that. With CloudRx it is very easy for the doctor to use, and it’s discreet, there is no queuing at chemists or waiting for a consultant to write out a paper prescription; you can literally get it delivered to your door. At one click of a button you can have your medication less than 24 hours later all over the UK – including Jersey.”
She added: “We have considered developing a digital prescribing service of our own, but why develop something when it’s already been done by the people who are in the best place to do it? We are thrilled to work with companies that can provide something if we feel we are not the best people to do it. In this case, CloudRx are the right people. Our two teams have worked either side of the fence to bring this simple process to our customers and provide a five-star service.”
